The Women's Alliance wants 9 to terminate the incentive wage system in the fishing industry, 9 the wages of fish processing workers to be increased in accordance with the responsibility and requirements which the job demands, 9 the job security of people in fish processing to be ensured, 9 research into different fish species to be increased and fishing plan- ned in accordance with the outcome of that research, 9 the quota system reviewed, 9 prohibition on the export of unprocessed fish while Icelandic proces- sing plants are lying idle, 9 the development of new ways of processing, full processing of the fish be done in Iceland, and all processing to emphasize quality, 9 the exploration of new markets for Icelandic fish, 9 the conditions and safety regulations for fish processing workers and seamen improved, 9 survival suits to be required by law on fishing vessels. 27
