The Women's Alliance wants 9 emphasis to be placed on preventive medical care, 9 wages of health care personnel to be increased in keeping with the importance of their work, 9 the health care education to be increased for the public and within the school system, 9 education concerning child birth, sex, and precautions against ven- ereal disease increased, 9 emphasis placed on the prevention of tooth decay and action to be taken to decrease sugar consumption, 9 action to be taken against the use of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs through education and other preventive measures, 9 to ensure emergency and long-term treatment for young drug abusers, 9 emphasis to be placed on the education of the public concerning ac- cidents in the home, 9 the social services to administer to the needs of sick children and their parents who may need to seek medical care far from their place of residency, 9 everyone to receive a health book in which all illnesses and medical treatment are recorded throughout their lives, 9 action to be taken to increase the availability of specialized medical care in rural areas, 9 health care to be available to all people regardless of financial status and the prevention of the establishment of private medical practice which can lead to differential treatment. 29
