The Women's Alliance wants 2 to increase the influence of women in the development and administ- ration of all areas of the national economic structure, 2 to enable citizens to have direct influence on national and municipal issues by expanding the right of discussion and voting on specific municipal issues and expressing their views through a plebiscite, 2 action to be taken in the construction and improvement of air strips and roads in rural areas, 2 all government agencies to have a "freefone" telephone service to equalize the cost of their services for all citizens. In addition the estab- lishment of equalized telephone costs within a code area, 2 to ensure the financial independence of municipalities and strengthen their ability to administrate their own affairs, 2 to protect the basic industries, that is fishing and farming, while es- tablishing other industries, 2 to develop a plan to improve the services of government agencies in rural areas, which might include the establishment of some departments in rural areas, 2 to increase the supply of rental property nationwide, 2 to strengthen and support amateur arts and culture all around the country and facilitate the enjoyment of cultural experiences and the arts nationwide, 2 to ensure equality of educational opportunities and build up both lower and higher education in all parts of the country, 2 to increase education centres and educational information-material centres in all school districts, 2 increase the available low cost rentals for students who need to move far from their homes for further education, 2 to augment adult education and establish open university type educa- tion, which would increase the opportunity of people all over the country for further and continuous education,
